7/13/15 - This morning I got up at 7:30am and got ready to drive to Yellowstone for the day.  I decided to pack a lunch including two containers of ice tea.  I took a rain coat, umbrella, binoculars, GPS and headed out at 8:15am.  8 hours and 50 minutes and 250 miles later, I returned to the RV Park.  It was a long tiring day but I saw a lot of things.  It was not far before I saw 4 bisons on the edge of the road.  In fact, I thought one was going to cross but he didn't.  Later, I saw a deer at the edge of the road and also saw two very cute little fawns.  Most of the time we drove about 40 to 45 miles per hour but I got to Old Faithful at 11:34am to learn that she was scheduled to go off around 12:10pm.  So I ate half of my sandwich and some crackers while waiting.  She erupted at 12:06pm instead.

On the way back, I went a different way which was a little longer but wanted to see more territory.  I saw many bisons grazing in the meadows.  Because it was hard to stop to take a picture, I did get one but they are kinda far away.  I also stopped off at a beautiful water fall and  a hot spring that was making all kinds of noice from the opening but was only steam and no water.  It was a very good day and the weather was good.  Right now the wind has arrived and it has cooled down but I don't think we will get any rain.  I am off to bed early.
