05/30/16 - On 5/24 - I went over to Aunt Ada's to pick up some stuff that we needed to head out of Phoenix.

5/25 - My last doctor's appointment regarding blood pressure and C-PAP machine.  I have been using it every night from 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 hours and am hoping eventually it will get me off some blood pressure medication.  My blood pressure is finally under control!!  Per Cousin Robyn, I don't snore anymore and I do feel it helps my breathing a little.  Otherwise, still takes me a long time to fall asleep.

5/26 - My next door neighbors left and there is only a few of us left in the RV resort except for the permanent places.

5/29 -Off to church with Aunt Ada and Robyn and then in the afternoon we went to Robyn's friend's house for a typical English tea.  She is from Wales.  It was very interesting and we had a great time.

Today, I am doing some cleaning, starting to put things away.  Plans are to pull out of Phoenix by 10:00am tomorrow.

5/24/16 - On 5/18, it has been raining most of the night and off and on all day.  We got a puzzle from the office so of course I spent most of my time working on it.  It was a very relaxing day and then in the evening we went to a very nice restaurant (The Beach  House) which was right on the water.  It was a beautiful setting, the food was great and we had a beautiful sunset.  An excellent way to end out week's vacation in Kauai.

5/19 - We drove up to the very north end of the island since there was a dry cave and a wet cave to walk to and at the end was a state park but on the way there the traffic was very heavy so of course we could not find any parking but on the way back we did find a stop so we could walk to the dry cave.  We then stopped off in Hanalei for some shaved ice with ice cream and there were a couple of shops there so Aunt Esther and Robyn checked those stores out and I watched people.  We had planned to go to the beach for a short time but with the shopping we decided to just have our sandwiches in the picnic area by the shops.  We then drove to another area to check out that beach since we had never been there and it was really nice.  It had picnic tables, lots of trees in the area for shade and the water was very calm and good for snorkling since it was located more like an inlet.

5/20 - we had to pack and get out of the condo by 10:00am.  We then drove to the south part of the island and went to the see the water spout which is very neat.  It is really rocky and has areas in the rocks where the water rushes in and then there is a small hole and the water releases like a huge spout.  We went to another beach area for lunch and then walked to the beach where there were picnic tables and since it was Friday afternoon, the locals gathered in the area.  We have a clean restroom and changed clothes to get ready to go to the airport.  In the middle of Lihue, we found a small park and sat there for a while and watch the roosters and hens get ready for the night.  We did not realize that they actually flew into the trees and nested for the night.  It was quite interesting.  Off to the airport.  Aunt Esther dropped Robyn and I off with luggage and took the car back.  I left on Delta and they flew back on American.

5/21- I got into LAX on schedule but then was about an hour late getting out since a lot of the roads were closed coming into LAX because they were moving part of the space shuttle to a museum and the flight attendants could not get in because of the traffic jam.  Robyn waited for me at the Phoenix airport and Aunt Esther flew home later that afternoon so she just stayed at the airport.  We got back to the RV around 11:00am.  I did not do much but sleep off and on.

5/22 - I finally emptied out the suitcase, went to church with my friend Neal and then out for dinner since that is the last time I will see him for a while.

5/23 - I went grocery shopping and have started to put things away since Aunt Ada and I will be leaving in a week.

5/22/16 - On 5/15, we decided it was the best day for the beach.  We packed sandwiches, crackers and were given chairs and umbrella from office and off to beach.   After coming back, we soon learned that Aunt Esther and Robyn had a little too much sun so we started putting on lots of lotion to prevent peeling.

5/16 - We drove to Waimea Canyon which was on the opposite side of island so was a long drive.  It is a beautiful area and is classified mini grand canyon but this canyon was nice and green.  We stopped off at a little pick up window for fish tacos and stopped off for a little shopping.  Home for the evening.

5/17 - Aunt Esther and Robyn went zip lining and I stayed and relaxed at the condo.  They really had a lot of fun even though they had a few sore muscles!!  Picture attached:

After they returned, we went to the Lighthouse for a late lunch early dinner to learned that only the bar area was open but we still could get sandwiches.
5/22/16 - On 5/12, We (Aunt Esther and Cousin Robyn) left the RV for the airport.  Robyn and Aunt Esther had direct flights to Lihue, Kauai on American.  I left on Delta since I had a voucher to use.  I had to fly from Phoenix to LAX to Honolulu to Lihue.  We caught up with each other around 9:00pm.  I learned that they did not have their luggage since they were part of the mess with the TSA server going on and leaving 3000 bags behind in the cell phone parking lot.  They shopped at Walmart for a few items to tie them over until luggage arrived.

5/13 - Luggage was finally delivered before noon.  We stopped off at Walmart to do some food shopping for the condo.  What we could not find there we stopped off at a Foodliner Grocery store to finish our shopping list. We then drove north to Princeville where the time share was located.  It was not the best location since the time share was right off the road and we were the bottom unit with very noisy neighbors on top but we managed.  It is still a very beautiful area.

5/14 - We to a Hanalei to a farmers market and attended a May Festival.  It was so interested because they had almost constant entertainment.  Performers were locals from the island and they had some dancers that were just learning and it was quite cute and entertaining.  Picture is attached:

The girls were just learning the dances

                                             These were adult experienced dancers

We then drove into Kapa'a and did a little shopping and had dinner at the Noodle House.  It was very good.

5/11/16 - Today I am at home because I need to do laundry, pack and get the RV ready since I am leaving for Hawaii at 10:30am tomorrow.  Robyn, Aunt Esther and I are going to enjoy their time share for the next 9 days so I will not be blogging until I return on 5/21.
05/11/16 - Time to catch up.  On 5/1 in the evening I went out with my friends Jim and Josh and then Jim invited his neighbor since she and I have never put a face to a name.  We then also had her daughter, husband and friend join us.  It was a wonderful evening.

5/2 to 5/5 were very uneventful.  On 5/6, I had a follow up with the ophthalmology since I had a visual test to test for glaucoma and that test was fine.  I am just very near sighted and my right eye is really bad so will just continue to have it tested on a yearly basis. I stopped by Aunt Ada's for a little while.

5/7 - Aunt Esther flew in from Cleveland and arrived at 12:30pm.  I picked her up at the airport and then we went out to Aunt Ada's for the afternoon and then Robyn joined us for dinner that evening.

5/8 - All 4 of us went to church and then after church over to Robyn's house for dinner and the afternoon.  Aunt Ada took me back to her house to pick up the car since I was scheduled to pick up Cousin Ron (Robyn's brother) and his wife late Sunday night from Dallas.  Aunt Ada had decided to go with me so we went to the RV first so I could get some clothes together since I planned to stay at Aunt Ada's house after picking up Ron and Teresa.  They arrived a little after 9:30pm and we drove back to Aunt Ada's and off to bed since we had an early day on Monday.

5/9 - Got up early, dressed and went over to Robyn's house to pick up Aunt Esther, back to Aunt Ada's house and then the five of us left at 8:30am for the graduation.  We were joined with 4 of Robyn's Schlabach aunts so there was 9 of us at the graduation.  Since it was from ASU there were alot of graduates and only included the doctorate and master program graduates!!  In the evening there were 15 of Robyn's friends and family out for dinner at Abeulos Mexican Restaurant.  It was a very nice day and evening.

5/10 - I drove over to Aunt Ada's, we had an early lunch and then left for downtown for the convocation ceremony.  This included all of the health programs at ASU.  Afterwards we were able to catch up with her and I took a couple of pictures that are attached:
