04/26/17 - On 4/20, I met up with Mary Grace and Gertie at the beach.  They got there about an hour earlier than I did.  This time, I put up my umbrella so that I didn't need so much sun screen.  We sat there for about 3 1/2 hours and they absolutely got no fish that they could keep.  Of course, it was nice to be at the beach so I had a great time.

4/22, I met Mary Grace, Norman and Gertie at Anna Marie Oyster Bar.  I did check the menu on the internet to make sure I could find something on the menu.  Norman and Gertie had celebrated their wedding anniversary the night before but she had some coupons for free drinks and an appetizer.  We went early enough to order off the early bird special.  I had fish and chips and they gave me so much fish that I actually took it home and had 2 1/2 more meals of fish.  It was a nice evening.

4/23, Met Esther, Lloyd and Mary Grace at church and then we went to Arby's after church for lunch.  Mary Grace had a coupon (buy one, get one free) so I went home with a sandwich for lunch on Monday.

4/25, I met up with Esther, Lloyd and Mary Grace and we ate at Sonny's barbecue since this would be the last time that I would see Mary Grace since she is going back home to Ohio next week.

Today, I ran some errands to get ready for the trip to Missouri.

04/19/17 - On 4/18, once again I had another dentist appointment.  On Saturday night at Mary Grace's house when I took out the dentures, the bottom denture had a fastener fall out but I was able to retrieve it.  I tried to put it back in but was very loose and caused pain.  So on Easter Sunday, I was able to chew without anyone really knowing about my issue but it was slowly becoming more and more painful to chew.  On Monday after going to the beach, I stopped off at a dentist office in Bradenton where I had been before hoping to save some money since I was a returning patient.  When I got there, the dental tech was able to snap in the one that was loose but then the fastener on the other side was wobble so the Dr. Harris came in and explained to me that she had to put an insert in with acrylic to form the new insert.  Not really thinking about the cost at the time, since my experience before indicated a minimal charge, I accepted the plan of treatment.  When  it was all over with, I was handed a $488.00 bill!!  I just about flipped!!  But it was so expensive because she had to re-create the housing for the fastener.  What a mess.  It is all good as far as being comfortable but another dentist bill to pay.  If this continue, soon I will have a 50k mouth!!!

Today, I went back to talk with Dr. Harris and confirmed the bill and also she gave me a lot of instructions on taking care of the inserts/fasteners to give them a longer life.  So plans are to follow her instructions to see if I can preserve what I have.

04/17/16 - For some reason I could not get the other picture so will try a new post

This Blue Heron followed both of them
all afternoon, waiting for just one fish!!
04/17/16 - On 4/12, In the afternoon, I went to Aunt Inez's house for a visit and then I took some leftovers with me for dinner.  She had made a wonderful butterscotch pie so we invited cousins, Norman, Gertie and Mary Grace over to help us eat the pie.  We had a wonderful evening.

On 4/15, Mary Grace and I went with Esther to watch Esther's granddaughter play basketball.  I took some clothes with me and planned to spend the night with Mary Grace because tomorrow we had to get up really early.  We stopped off at Subway for a sandwich and then we crashed at her house.

4/16 - We got up at 6 00 am to attend at 7 30 am sunrise service on Easter Sunday.  After the services, they had a church breakfast which was very good.  Later, I met a gal who I learned was related to me through my biological mother's side.  She was really interested.  In the evening, Mary Grace, Esther, Lloyd, Mahlon, Janice, Allison, Ashley and I went out to eat some chinese food.  It was great.  We went back to Esther's house, played a few games and then time to get home.  It was a good weekend.

Today, I went to Long Boat Key Beach to watch Mary Grace and Gertie fish off the beach.  It was really interesting.  They got 31 whiting fish.  I also then went to the cleaning area to watch them get them ready or the freezer.  It was quite interesting.

04/08/17 - On 4/2, I went to church and then out to eat with 1st cousins (Esther, Mary Grace) and Aunt Inez.  We then went back to Esther's house and played a game.

On 4/6, I ran some errands and got some groceries since I was making dinner for Esther, Lloyd and Mary Grace at my house.  I then did some cleaning of the RV as well.

4/7, I did a little more cleaning and then cooked dinner.  They came over about 5 45pm.  We had a great time and dinner was a success.  I did clean up some of the kitchen but was tired so went to bed a little early.

Today I had plans to go with Esther and Aunt Inez to Sam's Club for some shopping and having one of their famous hot dogs but I was so slow and lazy,  I decided only to meet them at Esther's house and we went to see Esther's granddaughter play basketball.  It was interesting.  In the evening, we had pizza and strawberry shortcake and played a game and now I am home.  Off to bed.
