02/27/17 - When Aunt Esther and I got back from Aunt Anne's funeral, we learned that I had a big leak in the shower.  There is a gentleman in the park that does RV repairs so I called and he came over and got on the roof, took pictures and soon informed me that I had multiple cracks in the dome part of the skylight that is above the shower.  He came back a couple of days later with a catalog and measuring tape and order the part.  It came in last week but he had some grandkids here so he was not available for a couple of days.  He did stop by one evening and taped it all up since we were expecting a storm with wind and rain.  Today, he finally got it installed.  It is good since we are leaving the area on Wednesday.

Today, we also made out last run to the grocery store and I stopped by the dental office to ask a few questions to make sure I was going to be OK with the upper dentures.

02/24/17 - The past week has been quiet.  On Wed, 2/22, it rained all day so we did nothing but crocheting, playing on computer, reading a book and eating!!

I do find this area interesting so thought last night during the night when I couldn't sleep that I should put it in the blog for my benefit.  The area we are in is consider the treasure coast and it involved towns on the coast from Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie and Stuart.  The downtowns of these towns are cute.  Vero Beach has more activities, stores, restaurants, movie theatre.  I found it very interesting that there is a railroad that runs along the coast line and the towns are built around the tracks so you could be in a cute downtown and then a freight trains comes along!!  I learned the reason for the railroad tracks is that many past presidents and wealthy families had the tracks built so they had transportation from the north to their winter homes in the south. I don't know how far the tracks go except I do know it includes Palm Beach which is about one hour south of us.  We do hear trains all night long so one knows how well one has slept by the number of trains one hears during the night!!

Today, we decided to clean the RV since we don't want to have to do it right after we have traveled to Bradenton.  I do want to make one more visit to the dentist office to ask a few questions regarding the care of the dentures and implants so I am hoping that I am successful with this pair of dentures.

02/15/17 - Here is the picture that I promised in the previous post

It was fun to put together

02/14 - We attended a spaghetti dinner at the club house on the premises.  We had a salad, bread, and cupcakes as well.  It was very good and interesting to see all the people.  They had a gentleman play the piano and sing so there was also dancing.  Aunt Esther and I left then at that time.

Today we plan to run some errands and just relax.  It is suppose to reach 82 degrees but is very windy so does not feel very hot at all.  We had thought about going to the beach but with the wind, we would be unable to put the umbrella up for shade so we are just staying home.

02-12-17 - It was a quiet week and we did some household chores including laundry, running errands to Walmart to pick up prescriptions both for Aunt Esther and myself.   We also took in a movie about the founders of McDonald's and how "it is just business" can be very crude.  It was interesting.

2/10 - We went to a Greek festival at a huge church.  They had some craft tables, Greek deli food and then they had a complete meals and Aunt Esther and I both enjoyed lamb shanks with rice, peas, dinner roll and salad.  It was very good and I was able to bring some home for another meal.  At 6 pm
they had Greek dancers in traditional clothing.  They had what they called "tiny group", "junior group" and "senior group". It was very interesting and the groups did a great job.  When we got back to the RV, there was a campfire which is just outside our door so we quickly closed all windows to keep the smoke and smell out.

2/11 -I finished putting a 1000 piece puzzle together and will take a picture of it before I tear it down because it is really different.  Later,  I decided to make a rhubarb pie but I was given a small pie pan from my sister-in-law, Mary Ann and the pie does not have enough stuff in it for a large pie pan so I decided to try and put all the ingredients into this small one and soon after it was in the oven, it ran all over and started to smoke and soon Aunt Esther was fanning the smoke alarm so of course the oven was a mess.  We finally got the pie baked, the oven somewhat cleaned and enjoyed a piece of pie later.

2/12 - This morning, I then finished the oven and Aunt Esther made a wonderful dinner that we learned about on the Rachel Ray show.  Now to play some games on the computer to finish off the day.

02/03/17 - Tonight I had my final dental appointment.  It was scheduled at 6 00pm but I got a call before 5 00pm that they had a cancellation and could I come in now.  I was released by the surgeon and checked again by the denture specialist and I am totally released.  The denture feels good, I am able to bite off a sandwich and have been able to eat everything that I have tried so far.  They feel good and we can hope this is the end of my problem for a LONG time!!  We have had some good weather and I am happy!

02/01/17 - Today once again I headed for the dental office to see if finally I would get my dentures.  It was a great appointment.  At first I couldn't get the denture to stay but finally it worked.  Came home and was able to eat my first sandwich that I actually could bite off.  It is a little tender but I just need to be patient.  So far,  I am happy with them.  Thank goodness!!  It was a nice day to sit outside.
