4/29/14 - It seems I have been keeping very busy. I had to repair one end of the tow bar on my car since I had been pushed into a curb and it took until yesterday to get the part and to get it repaired. It depended on that schedule as to when I was pulling out of Phoenix. Now, that I have that repaired and the living area of the RV's air conditioning repaired, I have decided to hit the road. I still wanted the ice maker repaired but just did not work out.
On 4/24/14, I did fly back to San Diego to help train a new gal some of the financial reports. We had a great week end and did get some things accomplished although I would have liked to do more. I did attend a bridal shower on Saturday night. It was good to see some of the former employees. I flew back on Sunday night.
Plans are to pull out and head for Grants, New Mexico on 4/30/14. I am going to try and get out of here by 9:30am so I can be settled somewhere for the night before it gets dark.

Tubac Trip
4/14/2014 - on 4/8/14, I left about 12:45pm for Tubac, Arizona to visit Diane and Dick Brooks. I worked with Diane for approximately 15 years at San Diego Internal Medicine. Traveling went well and I arrived around 3:30pm. Diane had made a super delicous chicken pot pie and we had that for dinner. They have a beautiful patio and we spent many hours out there talking, listening to birds and taking in the wonderful mountain views. On Thursday, Dick and Diane took me to an old (still in tack) mining town named Ruby, Arizona. On Friday, Diane and I toured an old mission called Tumacacori. That mission had a lot of old history. Diane made a wonderful dinner that included pork chops, brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. It was a wonderful dinner. Later that evening, we attended a Wind Quintet from the Tuscson Symphony at the Tubac Center of the Arts. The concert was wonderful. On Saturday, Diane did a trip into the town of Tubac which has a lot of art galleries but also had some cute shops. I did spend some money and we had a danish at the local deli. At 3:00pm we attended a history on Mexican music and there was an individual there that sang one of the songs and taught us some Mexican dances! After that Diane and I toured the Precidio and a Museum. It was quite interesting. We then met Dick at a small local bar to finish off the evening with a drink. On Sunday, I spent time on the patio, had lunch and then left for Phoenix. Had a safe trip back. It was a wonderful weekend to catch with both of them and I made some wonderful memories. Thanks again, Diane and Dick for a lovely four days.
Now, am working on getting some things repaired on the RV (Winnie) since I have made plans to spend some time the first of May in Pueblo and Denver, Colorado. If all goes well, I plan to leave on 4/30 to begin my trip back east.
