02/24/19 - On 2/23, we went to a huge flea market at South Padre Island. When we got home our neighbor that had left was returning to his spot. We were so surprised. We later learned that they went to a auto service place to have the oil changed in the RV before leaving for South Carolina when they learned they had a water pump problem. In order to order the part, they have to take it out, get the number and then order and install the part and nothing was going to happen over the week end so they returned. They plan to leave in the morning and then spend Monday night at the shop and hopefully get it installed on Tuesday so they can head for South Carolina. I sure wish them the best. It was nice for a few hours to have a little more space. The neighbors to the other side of me are leaving next Sunday so maybe we can breathe alittle.
Today, I spent my afternoon finishing up a puzzle so now will do some computer things this evening.

02/22/19 - On 2/21, Aunt Esther and I went out for a buffet dinner that included a lot of fish for her and prime rib for me. She had scallops, shrimp and king crab legs and I had a huge baked potato and prime rib. After dinner we went to a community theatre and saw "Billy Bishop went to war". It was a true story and about a World War I pilot that was from Canada. There were only two people in the play and the one guy did alot of different characters. It was really interesting.
Today, we got a new step installed but not sure it is absolutely correct so they will stop by when they are in the neighborhood to see if I know what I am talking about. We have a coupon for banana split, buy one and get one free so we are off to the dairy queen!!!

02/15/19 - On 2/13, we drove over to Brownsville, Texas which is about 22 miles from Port Isabel, Texas. We went to a movie and found a Krispy Kreme store so we had to stop and get some donuts.
2/14, we decided to drive over to South Padre Island and sit on the beach. We took sandwiches and chips and soon learned that we would probably not be long since the sun would not stay out and the wind was horrible. We did do some reading but soon packed up and left. We drove to the north end of the island to look around.
Today, we were looking for something in the storage area underneath the bed when we had a problem putting the bed back together. Soon learned that the screws used to keep the bed together were not in the right place. We undid everything to try to put everything back in place but could not make the screws fit so we just left it unscrewed and put the mattress back on it and see if it will stay until I can have someone look at it. Later, we did some shopping at Walmart and now home for the evening.

02/09/19 - The first part of this blog is for my information only:
From Biloxi, Mississippi to Sulphur, Louisiana - 275 miles
From Sulphur, Louisiana to Victoria, Texas - - - 263 miles
From Victoria, Texas to Port Isabel, Texas - - - - 293 miles
Total: 831 miles
On 2/7 it started to get windy, cloudy and cooler. On 2/8, we had a little drizzle, much colder and very windy. Most of the time the wind speed was from 18 to 22 miles per hour and it started to get colder and colder.
This morning it was down to 41 degrees and we had a wind chill of 27 degrees!! So back to running the heater almost all of the time. The weather is to be cloudy and drizzle all day today and the high of 57 degrees but still very windy so quite miserable. The cold front is finally to leave on Monday so will not be doing much until then.
We did drive over to South Padre Island and stopped at a visitor's center to get information on things that were happening. The campground has all kinds of activities so will probably do some of that as well. They have a ladies luncheon and a Valentine dinner and entertainment on Valentine's Day so need to get more information and then will check that out.

02/07/19 - On 2/6, we left the Walmart at 8:50am since we wanted to get to the campground in Port Isabel earlier in the afternoon. We had good traveling until we were stopped and learned the highway was totally closed and would be closed for several hours. We were able to do a crossover to the other side of the highway but we were totally out in the middle of nowhere so knew it would be take awhile to get around all of this. I did end up driving about 50 miles out of the way so now we are going to be much later. We finally got to the campground at 3:45pm. It took a while to get checked in and all of the paperwork they needed and then they gave us a packet of information as well. We got the car off and Aunt Esther had the map so I planned to follow her when I was met up with two guys in a golf cart and they were going to show me the site and also help me park. The space is very tight and the campground is full but we were told where to try and park the car and Aunt Esther forgot that the step was out on the RV and hit it so now we need to get someone to come and bend it back so it will work properly. She broke a little area of the plastic on the bumper but the towing equipment is in tact. They have a very strange sewer system and told us they would be back to hook up the sewer since they use pvc piping to connect. When we were hooking up the water, the hose had a pin hole leak so we turned everything off and waited for the maintenance guys to come back and do the sewer so I was going to have them change out the hose but they did not come so we taped the hose and turned on the water since we had dishes to wash, showers to take and I needed to make tea. I was so disappointed because they never came back.
This morning, they arrived and admitted that they forgot me. Now, I have the new water hose hooked up and the sewer is also hooked up so we are set for a while. It is suppose to rain today so a little cloudy but the high will be 71 degrees so I am enjoying the warmer weather.

02/06/19 - I have lost alot of days but will try to get caught up a little.
1/24 - I was on facebook and got a security alert and the computer locked up. I was very stupid and call the (833) number to get it unlocked and I am thinking was was talking to a scam guy. I finally got him off the phone but then he really locked me up so I had to send it back to Jesse in Delaware to see if he can repair it.
1/25 - sent computer back to Jesse.
Not sure which date but did finally find a repair guy who knew what he was doing and fixed the leak and gave me a new tray for the refrigerator so I am all repaired. Itwas rather dark and so I went to turn on the porch light and the bulb was burnt out so he offered to come back on Monday.
2/1, I called Mike back to see if he could still replace the bulb before we were leaving on 2/4 and he did replace it in the afternoon. We are all set now to leave on Monday. The weather has been very nice. We went and did some grocery shopping to get us ready for the 3 day trip.
2/4, We left at 10:20 am from Biloxi, Mississippi. We had good traveling and arrived at Sulphur, Louisiana at 4:15 pm at the Walmart parking lot.
2/5, We left at 9:50 am because we waited awhile since it was quite foggy. The fog did lift a little but was still foggy when we left. Had a good traveling day and arrived at 3:45pm and had two other RV'ers there already. We settled in and walked to Walmart and got a subway sandwiches since we did not want to eat left overs.
