4/30/15 - Since the last post, I went out for dinner on Friday night with two of my friends (Jim and Josh).  On Sunday, I went to church and dinner with two more friends (Neal and Ronny).  Monday, I went to my neighbors since I thought they were leaving on Tuesday for home to say good bye to learn that their plans change and they will be leaving on Saturday (5/2).  Wednesday, I went back to Scottsdale to say good bye to Neal's mother.  We had a nice lunch and visit in the afternoon.

Today, I went to the office to settle my account to learn that she did not have everything ready and we set up an appointment for Tuesday.  I then walked through the recreation room and found a puzzle that had just been started so worked on it for a while.  I was scheduled to meet Aunt Ada in Sun City to go to a small farmers market which we did and I found some fresh zucchini.  We then went back to the house, had some lunch and then I went over to my Cousin Robyn's house to pick up some boxes and get my mail. I had ordered some bulbs for the RV from amazon so wanted to pick them up as well.  Back to Aunt Ada's for the afternoon and dinner.  Got home, talked to my friend Kari and then checked out the bulbs but they don't fit so will have to return them.

4/22/15 - Not much has been happening while in Phoenix.  I went to visit a friend's mother on a Friday afternoon, have been attending church with Aunt Ada, Uncle Lee and Cousin Robyn, did some cleaning of the RV and then just did NOTHING!!  I have been taking walks around the park after the sun goes down.

Today, I finally got the light repaired above the sink and the guy is coming back sometime before I leave for Denver to repair the electrical part of the water heater.  I am using the propane for the water heater but would sometimes be nice just to use the electric.  Do not have anything else planned at this time.

04/10/15 - This morning I left for the tax filing office at 6:45am to make sure they got it done today.  I am glad to report that it is finally completed!  I then went to Aunt Ada's house to help make some cookies since they have a brunch tomorrow.  We then took Uncle Lee to the center for his exercises and Aunt Ada and I went to a new balance store and finally found some new tennis shoes and was lucky, they even had a sale.  We then shopped at the grocery store and back to pick up Uncle Lee and then I had lunch with them and came home for the evening.

4/9/15 - On 4/6 I started to move some clothes around to get summer things in the closet, then spent some time out on the patio since it was a nice day.

4/7 - got up very early and headed to Sun City to get my income taxes completed.  When I got there, I learned they only are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday!!  I then purchased some yarn to start another aghan and called my aunt to let her know since we had planned to do some shopping afterwards.  I needed to stop by my cousin Robyn's house for a box so called her and then she told me she had a change of plans and would love to so some shopping and we could look for some tennis shoes for me.  So we stopped by Home Depot since I had some wood that needed to be cut up to put under my levelers, off to Famous Footwear and I did not find tennis shoes but she did find some sandels.  We had lunch at Paradise Cafe and then I went home.

4/8 - got up early and back to Sun City to complete the income taxes.  I learned I had some information missing so needed to contact my financial advisor in San Diego to get the information.  So off to Aunt Ada's house to use her computer since I called Jason and he sent an explanation via e-mail.  Found the information but then Aunt Ada's was out of black ink so drove over to Robyn's house to get the information printed.  Back to the place to complete my taxes but soon learned they had closed the office since they only do 28 people per day.  Then went back to Aunt Ada's house, had some lunch and we went shopping to Sears, stopped off at UPS to ship a box, the dollar store,got new batteries for their land line phone and put gas in the car.  I still don't have new shoes.

Today, I defrosted the freezer, made some cookies, had lunch and after this writing plan to check out some more boxes to transfer clothes around.  To bed early since tomorrow we will try the income tax office again!!

4/6/15 - On 4/1 I did go back to the dentist in the afternoon to learn that he wanted to put a special type of mesh in so the denture had to go to a special lab so I was without an upper denture from Wednesday afternoon to Friday morning so I did nothing on Thursday (4/2) but cleaning in the RV, putting some clothes away, changing sheets and odds and ends.

4/3 - around 10:00am I was able to pick up the denture and $400 poorer!!  I then ran some errands.  I was looking around for a coin laundry since I wanted to wash both comforters when I ended up having a conversation with my aunt and she felt her washer was big enough.  I then got some of the laundry together and plans were to wash things when I was there on Easter Sunday.

4/4 - In the morning, I went to a farmer's market and got some vegetables and got peaches to make cobbler for dessert for Easter dinner.  My aunt called and wanted to know if I could go to her house today to do laundry so we have a relaxing Easter Sunday.  I then packed up laundry, clothes for Sunday and an overnight bag since I will just spend the night.  I got to her house and before I even unloaded I noticed that the back driver side tire was going flat.  I had a fit since that tire was only about a month old.  So my aunt checked and sure enough her washer was large enough to wash the comforters.  I then looked up a Tire Discount shop and drove over to check on the tire.  I learned that it had a nail in it but it was able to be repaired since the nail was located in a spot that was OK to repair.  I got it repaired and back to my aunt's house to help finish off the laundry.

4/5 - we all went to Easter services and then had a delicious lunch.  My cousin brought the salad, my aunt had ham, potatoes and peas and then cobbler for dessert.  We had a relaxing day and then I packed up all of my STUFF and went home.

Today I went to a near by mall to look for tennis shoes but found none and so while there I decided to walk the mall to get my walk in.  It was nice because I could do some window shopping and it was cool enough.

4/1/15 - on 3/30, we left Tucson around 10:40am and headed for Phoenix.  We stopped at a rest area for lunch and got into Phoenix around 2:00pm.  We had been given a space number so we took the car off and headed inside the park to find out spot.  As we found it, there was another RV behind us so Aunt Esther moved out of the way and soon learned that they were looking for the same spot.  We then drove to the office to pay the rent and also check the correct space number.  They moved me about 9 spaces further into the park which is great because I don't hear any of the traffic.  Phoenix broke temperature records so by the time, we were set up, we were extremely hot.  We both took cool showers to cool down and started the air conditioner.  Later, we drove out to Aunt Ada and Uncle Lee's house for dinner.  Cousin Robyn also was there.  We had a nice dinner and then played a game.

On 3/31, Aunt Esther did some more packing, learned she needed to mail another box back to Cleveland but we needed a box so plans were to go to Robyn's house pick up a box and then go out to Mimi's Cafe for dinner with Aunt Ada and Uncle Lee.  We had early dinner so back to the RV to finish packing and getting the box ready for mailing.

4/1 - got up at 3:30am, dressed and out the door at 4:05am heading for the airport.  Aunt Esther had a flight out at 6:00am.  Came back and tired to sleep but that seemed impossible since it was very quiet.  I had a 10:00am dentist appointment since I have a fracture in my upper denture.  They were able to repair it right in the office and about an hour later I was on my way home.  Well, I had a bologna sandwich and now part of the denture broke again so I plan to go back again this afternoon for a second round.  Then I will work on getting all of my papers together to file income taxes.
