08/19/19 - On 8/17, I helped peel peaches since Virginia was making peach pie filling to can. She also was working on canning some cumcumbers. It was a long afternoon but we did get it done.
On 8/18, Was rather a busy day. We went to church and then there was a church potluck dinner at one of the member's house that have a really nice back yard to accommodate everyone. It was rather windy and cool so I sat by one of the walls of the house to try to get out of the wind. I forgot my hat so was unable to sit in the sun. We got home around 3:30 pm and then I changed clothes, took a little siesta and we went to visit a 2nd cousin of mine on the Kauffman side (my biological family). Of course, with the generation gap we have different memories but it was so nice to connect with extended family.
Today, I am not making any plans but will spend the afternoon with Virginia. Not sure what is on her agenda.

I cannot tell you how much I hate all this skin stuff! It would go away if it went by wishing! I hope that you can get some answers soon. So you helped to make peach pie filling to can! I should get a recipe. On Wednesday, I'm going to go help Liz Kunder can some peaches -- but just for eating, not pie filling! I haven't seen her in a while, so it will be nice to be with her again. Ashley and Liz have started going to a house church up near their house - so they can all go on a Sunday morning.
Our chickens came in today. Daniel's day started early, so he headed off to bed a while ago. I plan to go soon. Mornings come entirely too early! Keep us posted - and don't work too hard. Love you!
