04/12/18 - On 4/9, I ran some errands and got some things together for this next week.

4/10, I packed up half the house since I will be spending the next several days with Aunt Ada and I was told that after cataract surgery, I can't lower my head lower than my heart and she felt it was not good to put a puzzle together so I had to bring the computer, crocheting, reading to keep myself occupied.  I also got some food together since I knew it would spoil before I got home.  Aunt Ada had a quilting session and would not be home until around 6 30 pm so I had plenty of time to get things together.  I had been sending some messages back and forth on facebook from a former employee at the office that was in town for just a couple of days.  We were trying to get together but she had so many things to do but finally we did decide that I could drop by her ex-husband's apartment for a short visit.  Katey drove in from North Carolina to pick up her daughter, a car and drop off her ex-husband's dog.  So coming out, she traveled with a dog and going home to is towing a car and traveling with her daughter.  It was so good to see her since it had been years.  We chatted while she finished packing and loading since they were leaving for Flagstaff yet tonight.  I got a call from Aunt Ada and she would be home at 7 00 pm.  I have unloaded, started drops in my eye and watched some TV and off to bed.

4/11 - Got up at 6 00 am since Cousin Robyn will pick me up at 6 45 am.  She needed to be at work at 8 00 am.  I sat in her office with eye drops and water.  I read, put my head down for a while, read some more than no more water after 10 00 am.  We left the office at 12 10 pm to check in for surgery at 12 30 pm.  I was greeted with an assistance that took my blood pressure, check oxygen level and drops in the eye.  Off to the next room, on a stretcher, IV started, blood pressure again, oxygen level checked again, EKG hook up, oxygen through a cannula and asked lots of questions.  Next came anesthesiology and more questions.  After while, he came back and informed me that I was getting propofol through the and getting ready for surgery.  I was then wheeled in to the surgical room and all wrapped up so not to move and covered up.  I could hear everything but not feel anything.  I soon was patched up and taken to recovery just to make sure things were good.  Soon I was given some apple juice and instructions and Robyn was told to get the car and I was wheeled out with a Diet Coke in hand.  I had some crackers and chips to munch on as we headed home.  I also had a $2.00 coupon for a milk shake at Jack in the Box.  I was really tired so did nothing the rest of the evening.

4/12 - Today, had a follow up appointment to check eye pressure and just make sure things are good.  Got checked and my near sightedness has now changed to 20/25 which is great.  I still will need corrective lenses for distance since they were not able to repair both.  Now the problem is one eye is good seeing close and the other eye is trying to compensate to see far awhile which is not good.  I have taken the one lens out of the glasses and it does seem to do a little better but not sure which eye is trying to do what so will be confusing until I get the next one done that is scheduled on 5/23.  Nothing else on the schedule today.
