10/6/14 - On the river front they had this statue which represents a gal waving a welcome to Savannah.  Picture attached:

Florence Martus, the Waving Girl. For 44 yrs in the late 1800s and early 1900s, she greeted ships as they came in or came out of the Savannah River. There's a new Italian restaurant named after her on Victory Drive(:
