1/28/14 - It seems every day I am learning something new. We had water shut off because of some repairs and I have excellent neighbors who told me to fill up my fresh water tank which I thought I did but then forgot to turn on the water pump so didn't have any water but was only for about 4 hours so it was not a problem. Now, I have read up on the manual and plan to do a dry run so I know what I am doing but will have to wait until I get back into town.
Also, had quite a surprise when I went out to get my suitcase under the storage bin. The suitcase and four boxes where sitting in water. I soon learned from the neighbor that my ice maker hose had a pin hole and of course we are no sure when it started to leak so called a repair guy and it took three days to dry out!! During that time, I needed to re-pack from the ruined boxes to dry boxes and some of the boxes had summer clothes in them so took them to the dryer to make sure that I did not have any mole in my clothes. My cousin out in Sun City has extra closet space that she is not using so I needed up sorting everything and only keep 5 items of dresses, skirts, shirts, tops and pants for both winter and summer to travel with me. Now, I have extra space down below in storage which is great. I carried over six boxes of clothes because I am having a hard time getting rid of clothes but know it needs to be done sooner or later.
This past week end was quite busy since I have cousins here from Arkansas. On Friday night we got together at my aunt's house for dinner and visiting. On Saturday, my aunt had tickets to a broadway show which was "Seven Brothers for Seven Brides". It was well done. We went back to my aunt's house for dessert and played dominos. On Sunday, we had early brunch and the cousins were off to the airport.
My aunt broke her femur just before the New Year, had major surgery with a plate and screws and is of course non weight bearing. She has been in a group home with some rehab but will be released on Thursday so I am going in to COLD Cleveland, Ohio for at least three weeks to keep her company and help with anything that she needs.
Phoenix has been beautiful with high 70's so I am really spoiled. Yesterday, went to Sun City to visit an aunt and uncle. She is quilting baby quilts for a benefit sale and I have started to crochet a baby afghan. We had a nice visit since I won't see them now until the end of February.
